Object photography
It's not just about pointing the camera at an object and then pressing the click button! You'll need a stage with props,
stands, lighting etc. to make the object look its best.
We currently use the Nikon D300 which is tethered to a PC that has Nikon Camera Control Pro 2
software (and Nikon ViewNX 2 software). A small popup stage and spiral daylight lighting bulbs was used
for these two examples.
Then into the virtual darkroom where you can really go to town with cloning, colouring in, merging, plugins etc. to turn a
normal photo into a piece of art work.
We have developed a
Perl script that will batch edit photos using
ImageMagick software. This includeds resizing photos, adding
a watermark, adding text etc.
