Panoramic trick photography

You can produce the effect of being inside a cylinder by taking a panoramic photo and joining the left edge to the right edge. It's only really effective if the two edges match up perfectly!!

It is along the same lines as panoramic photography but there is an illusion!

Here is an immersive image using a QuickTime panoramic photo which demonstrates just that :

Simply place the mouse cursor over the image, holding down the mouse button move the mouse from left to right to see the illusion of a spinning object.
With the cursor on the picture, press the 'Ctrl' button to zoom out, and the 'Shift' button to zoom in.
