This web site has a three fold purpose :
- Consolidate various databases from around the Greenwich Borough into one searchable directory
- Raise money for Youth and ex-offender projects in the Greenwich borough using Pixel ads
- Promote business and organisations based in the Greenwich Borough thus increasing local revenue
Having seen Alex Tew's Million Dollar
web site (and the numerous copies around the planet!) I decided that this would be a really effective way of fund
raising - BUT it needed a USP (Unique Selling Point!).
There are currently 7000 Pixel Advert Squares on the grid. Another USP is that the grid does not stay static - from
time to time the adverts will rotate in blocks of 10. So, what is in the first 10 rows today will be in the bottom 10
rows at the next rotation. All the other rows will be shunted up so their should be equal publicity over a 10 week period.
Yet another USP is that this web site will be the most useful on-line directory for Greenwich Borough resources. It
does not have the overhead of collating information - it merely redirects you to existing web sites.
